Da Vinci Color is XYZprinting's first FFF - Fused Filament Fabrication - desktop 3D printer with True Color technology achieved by combining inkjet and 3D printing technologies, so there are 40 patents pending worldwide.
Using CMYK 3D ColorJet inkjet technology, the ink droplets attach to the color-absorbing PLA filament, allowing da Vinci Color to create prints of various colors by combining the ink droplets on the filament. Da Vinci Color was designed with accessibility, creativity and peace of mind for consumers in mind.
Millions of color possibilities
Da Vinci Color uses CMYK inkjet cartridges to apply color to prints with a special color-absorbing PLA filament. These colors can be mixed in endless combinations to create millions of colors.
New 3D Color-inkjet PLA filament
XYZprinting's new material, CPLA (PLA in color) allows the absorption of ink droplets, a feature that allows da Vinci Color to print full color. The CPLA filament is also more robust than normal PLA, perfect for tooling, grip and impact resistance. Its versatility gives users the creative freedom to incorporate the material into a wide range of projects.
New integrated experience
Da Vinci Color gives users full control at their fingertips, with an easy-to-use color touchscreen where they can control features, such as automatic platform correction, and connect to their home wireless network. Da Vinci Color boasts a number of sensors that detect broken material during the printing process, allowing users to stop and restart printing without wasting time and filament.
